Evelin Facchini is a freelance choreographer, director and dancer born in Rome and based in Berlin.
She works internationally in dance, theatre and opera. She graduated from the ballet school of the Rome Opera House and she further continued her studies in Canada.
Since 2011 she works with Romeo Castellucci as choreographer and performer, in 2019 she is the choreographer for REQUIEM premiered at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence and in 2023 for DAPHNE premiered at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Berlin.
In 2022, at the invitation of Marta Górnicka, she participates as guest choreographer in the research project Political Voice Institute at the Maxim Gorki Theatre in Berlin and in 2023 choreographs the performance MOTHERS A SONG FOR WARTIME, presented at the 78th edition of the Festival D’Avignon at the Cour d’Honneur du Palais des Papes.
In December 2024 she received the award for the best choreography for -Mothers a song for wartime- at the 17th Boska Komedia theatre festival in Cracow.
In 2024 she starts collaborating with Oliver Frljić at the Maxim Gorki Theatre in Berlin and choreographs his shows ALICE IM WUNDERLAND, PROZESS and FRANKENSTEIN. Alongside these collaborations, she created Metalouda, a choreographic research project which aims to share and develop her compositional practices by creating installations, short films and performances.
In this context, she directed and choreographed the piece WRY/Second layer_anatomy of deception, which was presented in March 2023 at the Heizhaus-Uferstudios in Berlin.
She leads educational projects and workshops for students and professionals across movement research and choreographic composition.
 She directed the dance studio Theatre Dance Division in Rome from 2011 until 2018.
